Too much information...

Last night, as I was nursing Sarah before bed, she decided to blow raspberries on me. She would look up to me with a smirk and proceed. She is quite the character!

Today, John thought it would be fun to dig a hole in the dirt outside of his sand box...Mommy caught him in the act.

Before I forget...

"parachute man"

(yesterday) Daddy bought John a "parachute man". John has discovered how to make him fly up instead of float down. We then went to to show pman off at Grandpa's house. I think Grandpa had the most fun!

Sleep baby sleep

Well, last night was a bit of a blur. Sarah's been getting up hourly the past 2 nights. Somehow she ended up in our bed!

John is spending the weekend at Grandma's RV in VA! We miss him!
I've only called 5 times since he left yesterday!

Water and Dirt

Today we spent a few hours outside. What a beautiful day! We were playing with chalk on the sidewalk, but then our interest turned toward the sprinkler. John kept moving the sprinkler....and while I was dancing around to avoid being soaked, Sarah decided to do a soil test. (I think Uncle Robert-who spent a good part of his young adult life studying dirt at U of MD-gave her some good pointers...)

Hide n Seek

John: "Let's play hide n seek, mommy!"

Mommy: "O.K. I'll count to 10--1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10....Ready or not, here I come!"

John: giggle giggle

Mommy: "Where's Johnny?"

John: (jumping from behind the bed) "Here I am, mommy!"

Sarah's Vocal Debut

Native eating behaviors: August 13, 2006

Sarah was eating noodles and banana. After several noodles, she turned her head and pursed her lips. Then she said, "nana". She happily received a bite of banana! She communicated and said her first word on the same day!
John's famous bumpy blue blanket positioned ever so perfectly, bumpy side up while he drinks his warmed milk... We are quite particular!

Aunt Sandra comes for a quick visit

Aunt Sandra and her friend, Susan, had to make a quick trip up
north for a funeral. Grandma's pad ended up being a good midway stop. So, after a late dinner of black bean and spinach enchiladas, we goofed around. Sarah and John love to play on the floor together. And, of course, John told Aunt Sandra to "run!", one of his most favorite commands.

Weekend with Grammy and Grampy

Mommy, John and Sarah took a trip up to
Grammy and Grampy's summer RV near Cape May, NJ. John took his first roller coaster ride at Story Book Land! He loved it! He also loved the Turtle Tilt-a-Wheel!
